Home At Last after 21,000 kms

Arrived home tonight on the 3:15 ferry sailing from Tsawwassen to Duke Point. Took that one as it was a Coast Saver sailing, so $95 instead of $175 or more. We are 48 ft overall. Had spent 3 happy nights up in Kelowna at Holiday Park out in Winfield, at over 850 sites it's huge. Had very happy days and evenings spent with old friends of Di's who now both live and work there. Had a good site ourselves. Went exploring, even to Vernon and up to Silver Star Mtn, yes, it's still there, and even had snow. We didn't get out as we weren't appropriately shod for snow.

Then went and visited other RV pals of ours in Keremeos at Sunkatchers RV Co-op, that is a very well organized place, and our friends have a lovely Park Model built in the Okanagan, it's lovely, full of light, and very nicely built. Many laughs with them, we stayed overnight on their niece/nephew's lot.

Home today with no trouble, but very positive images of life in the Okanagan. We need to do a lot of considering 'what ifs' but their bright blue skies and no ferries to get off the island are very positive benefits of Okanagan living indeed.
And dry desert life has a lot to be said for it too.

Ah me, we did over 21,000 kms in all, and it was a wonderful experience. More thoughts perhaps tomorrow, now to bed.
